What Up World!!! I'm a little under the weather but we all know that isn't enough to keep me out of commission. I had a pretty good August and look forward to smashing the world this September (One month at a time right???). Started the month with a win at the Toronto Independent Music Awards (Best Rap Muthafucka), won 5 g's at that Tag Records Battle (The Rappa-Saurus Rex Strikes Again....), and closed it with a Toronto Sun article and Sirmac TV interview. What Up World!!!! What Up World!!! I'm back on my blogger shit. I do my best to post here often I swear. In my absence you've probably been checking out some other rapper or tastemakers blog in search of that Era goodness. It's just not the same people!!!! (No massage needed I'm feeling myself again...) So first things first. I hope everyone had a good time at Caribana. I started my weekend early at the Toronto Independent Music Awards on the thursday. Long story short. I was late as hell with Major and my Dj T.Lo (L.O. LO. dey know dey know), we ran into the building, I bought a round of drinks, and then won the Best Rap award for the night (Stranger things have happened...).

From the party I ended up rushing to the lil Scrappy show. Unfortunately no one ended up performing due to a little lack of communication between the promoters and ALL the artists (Not sure how that happened...) I ended up drinking with the team and then bounced. It was already a long night at that point (Even Superman needs to sleep...) You can get the full story on that party HERE...

My first clip of the day comes courtesy of Sirmac Tv. I forgot to shout him out on the mixtape outro so he's been cussing me ever since. It's the video for Mr.Carter!!!! Wayne and Hov at their finest with a cameo from Freeway....Enjoy!

On The Road Again Part 2 (North Bay Bay!!!)

What Up World!!!! As promised, I said I'd give you a part 2 of the on the road experience. I know I take forever to update these things but I try to make sure the jokes that come with each blog are worth it. The next stop for me was North Bay (Ay Bay Bay!!! sorry I couldn't help myself..). Took about 3 hours to get there. Got pulled over by the good Ol' O.P.P. (Gave them a little salute at the show with help from the crowd, you'll see the footage.) The cop was cool considering we were a car full of negroes but still gave us a ticket. Fucker... Let's just say I pulled into North Bay, we parked the car, and were welcomed by these....

SHAD FLIES!!!!!!! Your probably asking what the hell are shad flies. I'd explain but I don't like to ramble too much on my blog. Lets just say they were all over the streets, all over the windows, all over the cars, all over the road, they were basically everywhere, dead and alive!!!!! I got over it quickly though. The show at Zoo nightclub was ridiculous. Now that I think about it I had so much fun I'm going to do a release party there.

What Up World!!! This blogging thing feels foreign to me but I can't afford to leave you people without something decent to read. If you just woke up and your reading this, rise and shine!!!! If its the afternoon, Salut!!! And if its the night time, then welcome to your last stop before the soldiers of sleep consume you. (I dont really know why I said that but it felt creative..) I've been all over the place since I've last wrote to you people. I apologize everytime I don't write these things consistently so I won't this time. I got a chance to head out to Montreal for 2000 Til'. I wish people in the city could see how we represent when were in another city. The screwfaces definitely disappeared that night. (Shout out to everyone at Roundtable, Livestock, Addy, Fresh, Masters, Bishop, Tona, and the list goes on and on....) Oh and if you've never been to Montreal, Schwarts has the greatest smoked meat sandwiches in the world!!!!!!!!!! And poutine can cure cancer...

Stylus, Era, and All That Other Fun Stuff....

What Up World!!! I bet you want an apology.... Fuck that! Some of you may have been asking yourselves "where's the blogs era, where's the blogs????" I've been meaning to write these things I swear, but I've been working hard getting this new tape done. And now, its finally finished!!!! (The DJ Edition at least....) What up to the DJ's at the stylus awards that got the material early!!! Once I have the mixtape up for download in about 2 weeks I'm going to be writing my own review on it. (Why not??? I'll write a review if I feel like it...) Stylus awards were crazy last weekend. Got to politic with a lot of dj's that have been supporting my music since i started, even though they never met me (Plaeboi What Up!!!). I was lucky enough to perform at the Award show on Monday. I didn't win in either of the categories I was nominated in, but it still felt good to know I was recognized for my work. (What up Mrs. Hayes, Spinz, C4 and the other losers that I partnered up with!!!! hahah.) Now that I think about it, I'm the most stylish nigga without a stylus!!!! Holla!!! Up next the MMVA's....

What good would a JD ERA blog be without a good ol' What Were You Thinking Award. I was thinking back to the days when Myspace and Facebook were brand new. Only cool people knew about myspace and only the educated were allowed on facebook. Sigh....the good ol' days. Every now and then one of my boys would tell me about some random "ting" that he scooped on myspace. This next videoclip is for my niggaz that get a little too eager on myspace and facebook.
